More female chefs enter the ranks

Women often face sexism, harassment and stereotyping when they step into a restaurant kitchen, but that hasn’t stopped them. Women make up about 24% of chefs and head cooks in the U.S., and the number jumped 44% between 2000 and 2007, according to the National Restaurant Association.
