Useful Social Media Links for Innkeepers

I was asked by several innkeepers after looking at my last post: Tutorials for setting up social media if I could put up a quick list of the most useful links that I used often, so here goes.

Assorted Useful Social Media Links aside from FB, Twitter and Blogs

  • Discover, share and manage your social bookmarks.
    StumbleUpon: StumbleUpon brings the sites you like right to you based on your interests. Stumble your favorite sites and network.
  • Digg: Discover and share your favorite web content anywhere, from videos to blogs to news articles.
  • Reddit: User-generated news links. Votes promote stories to the front page, like Digg
  • Posterous: Posterous lets you post things online fast using email. Its not a blog, but it’s a similar concept. You can send anything! Posterous will accept any file you send and convert it to the most web friendly format available. You can also use this to post to Twitter, facebook and your blogs as well.
  • Friendfeed: FriendFeed enables you to discover and discuss the interesting stuff your friends find on the web.
  • Google Buzz: Google new social network, similar to friendfeed, it integrates in users using gmail
  • Technorati: Real-time search for user-generated media (including weblogs) by tag or keyword. Also provides popularity indexes. A good place to have your blog listed.
  • Social Bookmarking on Squidoo: Learn why you should use social bookmarking and how it can create backlinks to your site.
