Facebook Business Page Checklist Worksheet

I thought it might be useful to B&Bs and perhaps other businesses to have a sort of “To Do List” for Facebook Fan Pages.  I get a lot of questions when doing training on how to set up Fan pages, what should I do first and in what order. Since I was working on putting together information for an upcoming workshop I thought I would put together this little list of some easy steps to follow.

As you go through and read online articles, use https://workflowy.com to organize your information and links, this is useful because hot links are clickable, you can use it as a too do list, organize it, cross it off, move it, as well as it is accessible anywhere online on any computer.

Places merge with Pages https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=249601088403018

Page applications for tabs: (there are hundreds out there to chose from, these are ones I thought the most interesting.)

Free photo editors – lets you edit all your photos online, from one easy place. If you don’t have a desktop photo editor these are great.

How to email/text to Facebook: Facebook Fan Page: go to your Fan page, at the top right go to “edit page”, then on the left to “mobile”, near the top it will say “With Mobile Email” to the right of that click “learn more” At the screen that pops up ” Send the upload email for my page to me now.” Click on “Okay” this will email you an email address that you can post updates to Facebook by mobile text or directly by email.

If you found any of this useful, always appreciate a fan on my own fan page (and would be happy to fan back) https://www.facebook.com/forfengdesigns

Thanks for the mention of MyWebees (and I LOVE using Workflowy myself :), it’s a great tool)

  2. Heather, Thank you for sharing that. It forced me to check through all of my information. What is the Page applications for tabs used for? And, somehow I do have a duplicate FB named Maxwell Creek Inn but FB will not let me merge it with my MaxwellCreek Inn Bed & Breakfast. I think it’s because I did not fill out all of the information.

The application tabs are for the 4 (or more) small icons right below the facebook page main profile header, they let you add things like pinterest boards, extended map information, etc.

Can you send me a link for the duplicate page, I looked and couldn’t find it. Call me if it’s easier and I can walk you through a fix.
