The Lodging Resource Newsletter: Issue #19, February 2013

Hello again Lovely Innkeepers!

The big news for this past month was TripAdvisor announcing a new feature that will allow Innkeepers to report any issues regarding blackmail threats from their guests

Acorn Internet did a very good walkthrough on: How to Report Blackmail to TripAdvisor

Tripadvisor has also added new badges for reviewers. I personally think the designations are quite amusing. 3 reviews makes you a Hotel Specialist!

Of other interest to B&Bs: We have started two B&B Google+ Communities
(also known as groups or forums). Any B&B/Inn is welcome to join the group, as well as
B&B vendors, please read the rules of the community before posting at:

B&B Public Forum, all posts are public to the world:

B&B Private Forum: (B&Bs/Inns Only)

Pinterest for B&Bs for Sale:
I’ve also started an experiment on Pinterest, if any B&Bs have their inn for sale, please let me know. Since I’ve started pinning my blog posts to Pinterest, I’ve been getting a lot of aspiring and “in my dreams soon” I want to be an innkeeper people following my boards. So my thought was if any B&Bs wanted to have a board, on my boards, they might get some extra “eyes” on their property for sale. If anyone would like a board (and I can add them as a contributor so they can add anything they want to it) please let me know.
